2nd ODI : Tons By Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul , Hat-Trick By Kuldeep Yadav Help India Beat West Indies
India bounced back in style to beat the West Indies in the second ODI at Visakhapatnam by 107 runs. The win now levels the three match ODI series at 1-1.
West Indian skipper Kieron Pollard won the toss and asked India to bat first. India relished batting first and posted a mammoth 387/ 5 in their 50 overs. The openers Rohit Sharma (159 off 138 balls ) and K L Rahul( 102 off 104 balls ) stroked aggressive hundreds to put on the platform for a huge total. The duo put on 227 for the first wicket. Skipper Virat Kohli failed again this time ( 0), Shreyas Iyer ( 53 off 32 balls ) and Rishabh Pant ( 39 off 16 balls ) chipped in towards the end with the bat with a 72 run stand in just four overs to give India strong finish.

West Indian bowlers went on a leather hunt as their figures suggest, Sheldon Cottrell 2/ 83 ( 9 0vers), Jason Holder 0/ 45 ( 9 0vers), Khary Pierre 0/ 62 ( 9 overs), Keemo Paul 1/ 57 ( 7 overs), Alzarri Joseph 1 / 68 ( 9 overs), Roston Chase 0/48 ( 5 overs) , Kieron Pollard 1/ 20 ( 2 overs)
Chasing a big target was not easy and the West Indies soon found that out . They could manage only 280 and were bowled out. India winning handsomely by 107 runs.
Centurion in the last match Shai Hope played well for his 78 . But got little support. Shimron Hetmyer was run out for 4. Nicholas Pooran ( 75 ) and Keemo Paul ( 46) were the other contributors as the rest filed to fire while chasing huge total.
India unlike last time this time were accurate with their bowling and fielding. Kuldeep Yadav was the hero with a fine hat- trick 3/ 52 ( 10 overs). Kuldeep also became the first Indian bowler to take two hat-tricks in ODI’s.
Ravindra Jadeja was expensive 2/ 74 ( 10 overs), Mohammed Shami 3/ 39 ( 7. 3 overs), Shardul Thakur 1/ 55 ( 8 overs), Deepak Chahar 0 / 44 ( 7 overs)
Both teams now go to Cuttack for the third ODI , Odisha for the decider on 22nd December.
