Former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai Slams Pakistan’s Airstrikes , Says Afghans will defend their beloved homeland with complete unity

Former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai strongly condemned what he described as renewed Pakistani airstrikes on Afghan cities, asserting that the Afghan people would respond to any aggression with unity and courage.

In a post on X, he said,” The Pakistani aircraft once again bombed Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia. The Afghans will defend their beloved homeland with complete unity in all circumstances and will respond to aggression with courage. Pakistan cannot free itself from the violence and bombings –those problems it has created itself–but must change its own policy and choose the path of good neighborliness, respect, and civilized relations with Afghanistan.”
Earlier , according to various media reports,  Pakistan’s defence minister said that there is now an ‘open war’ with Afghanistan after latest strikes.

“The entire nation stands by the Pakistani Armed Forces,” Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif said according to a series of posts on the government’s X account, reports BBC.
“The people and armed forces of Pakistan are always ready to protect the country’s security, sovereignty and territorial integrity. Pakistan’s armed forces are determined not to allow the peace and security of the country to be compromised under any circumstances,” a post said.
Pakistani strikes have so far destroyed 27 Afghan Taliban military posts and captured nine others, according to Mosharraf Zaidi, the spokesperson for Pakistan’s prime minister.
